Announcements 7.1 Councillor Hirsch announced the passing of Myrna Wood, a strong advocate for the environment and human rights, and advised of a Celebration of Life to take place at the Waring House on November 3, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 7.2 Councillor Engelsdorfer advised that PumpkinFest would be taking place in Wellington on Saturday, October 18, 2025. 7.3 Mayor Ferguson announced that on July 21, 2025, Jasmine Govier, By-law Enforcement Officer, received her certified designation from the Municipal Law Enforcement Association of Ontario. 7.4 Mayor Ferguson congratulated the organizers of the County Marathon held last weekend and its positive economic impact on the municipality. 7.5 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed October 15, 2025 as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day in Prince Edward County. 7.6 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed October 17, 2025 as United Nation's International Day for the Eradication of Poverty in Prince Edward County. 7.7 Mayor Ferguson welcomed back Clerk, Catalina Blumenberg on her part-time return to work for election preparation purposes. Deputations 9.1 Beth Lafay, Executive Director, Reaching for Rainbows, addressed Council regarding the Reaching for Rainbows Program. 9.2 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed October 11, 2025 as the first annual Day of the Girl Child in Prince Edward County.
