THAT Council move into closed session to consider: a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board, regarding the default of a financial agreement; litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board regarding an arbitration ruling; advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose regarding an arbitration ruling; and personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees regarding staffing matters, related to appointments to Advisory Committees; Pursuant to Section 239 (2) (b), (f), (e) and (k) of the Municipal Act. Council reconvened in open session at 7:02 p.m. with all members present, save and except for Councillor Branderhorst and Councillor Braney. Motion 2025-573 provided direction to staff regarding the default of a financial agreement. Motion 2025-574 received a confidential memo from the Recreation & Community Facilities Department dated November 25, 2025 regarding the default of a financial agreement. Motion 2025-575 received a confidential memo from legal counsel dated November 25, 2025 and provided direction to legal counsel regarding an arbitration ruling. Motion 2025-576 received a confidential report regarding Citizen Appointments to Advisory and Ward Recreation Committees for the 2022-2026 Term of Council and provided direction to staff to bring forward motions in open session regarding these appointments. Motion 2025-577 received an application to the Hillier Ward Recreation Committee and provided direction to staff to bring forward a motion in open session regarding appointment to said Committee.
