WHEREAS the County has surplus vacant buildings; and WHEREAS members of the public have expressed interest in leasing certain garage space in Hillier and Consecon; and WHEREAS there is a need to respond to these inquiries and review current policies with respect to lease of municipal buildings; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT staff be directed to review the policies in place with respect to process, risk, responsibilities, and management costs of offering municipal building for rent or lease and report back with a list of potential opportunities; and THAT staff be requested to respond to and assess recent inquiries about the lease of municipal properties.
