THAT the time permitted for the comment from the audience be extended beyond the three (3) minute allowance as per Part 8.4 (4) of the Procedural By-Law. 9.2 Karim Premji provided comments pertaining to the Draft 2026 Budget, with specific reference to the Secondary Suites Program allocation, spoke to the benefits of the program and requested that $100K be approved to fund the continuation of this successful pilot program. 9.3 Duarte Da Silva, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), PEC Chamber of Commerce, provided comments pertaining to the Draft 2026 Budget, noting the proposed 11% tax levy increase, the importance of collaborative economic development initiatives, and urged Council to partner with community stakeholders. 9.4 Gregory Lipsett provided comments pertaining to the Draft 2026 Budget, with specific reference to the Roads budget, the current condition of Salem Road, and requested that Salem Road be moved up in the budget for complete rehabilitation.
