Announcements 7.1 Councillor Roberts announced a notice of motion regarding advocacy for provincial funding and municipal priorities for Southeast Public Health at the next feasible meeting. 7.2 Councillor Branderhorst announced the free euchre tournament on Saturday April 25, 2026 at the Athol Town Hall hosted by the Athol Recreation Committee. 7.3 Councillor St-Jean thanked the Volunteer Firefighters Association for the easter egg hunt at the Picton arena, and how well attended and enjoyed the event was. 7.4 Councillor Roberts thanked the Sophiasburgh Recreation Committee for their successful easter egg hunt at Centennial Park. 7.5 Councillor Hirsch thanked the South Marysburgh Recreation Committee for organizing the successful easter egg hunt. 7.6 Councillor Maynard spoke to the easter egg events at the Ameliasburgh heritage village in partnership with the Museums & Cultural Services team. 7.7 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed April 22, 2026 as Earth Day, noting the global theme for Earth Day 2026 is 'Our Power, Our Planet' and refers to the role of people and communities worldwide in sustaining environmental protections that affect the cost of living, public health, infrastructure reliability, and long-term stability.
