THAT the deputation by Mark Johnson, Save Our History regarding the "Holding Court" Sir John A. Macdonald sculpture be received. Councillor Nieman brought forward a motion pertaining to the "Holding Court" Sir John A. Macdonald sculpture. A debate period ensued. Councillor MacNaughton brought forward an amending motion, seconded by Councillor Engelsdorfer to the main motion as follows: THAT "the aim of exploring the feasibility of bringing the sculpture back to public viewing "be deleted in its entirety and replaced with "with the aim of determining the future of the sculpture." A discussion period ensued. In accordance with s. 12.4(11) of the Procedural By-Law, Councillor MacNaughton requested a recorded vote Motion 2026-182.
