Announcements 7.1 Councillor MacNaughton announced Bay of Quinte pride events, commencing with a Flag raising at Shire Hall on June 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and pride parade June 20, 2026 and encouraged all to attend and support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. 7.2 Councillor Branderhorst announced a Bob Ross paint night on June 5, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and asked people to register at atholreccommittee@gmail.com. 7.3 Councillor Roberts announced the Sophiasburgh Recreation Committee is hosting a pride picnic and social skate event on June 14, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Demorestville town hall. 7.4 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed National Accessibility Week May 31 to June 6, 2026, to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities and recognize the work of allies, organizations, and communities that are actively working to remove barriers to accessibility and inclusion. He proclaimed June Pride month, an opportunity to celebrate diversity, affirm the right of every 2SLGBTQIA+ person to live authentically and safely. Mayor Ferguson proclaimed June 2026 as “National Indigenous History Month” and June 21 as “National Indigenous Peoples Day” and urged all residents to take this opportunity to celebrate and recognize the contributions of the Indigenous peoples to our communities and country.
