Council reconvened in open session at 7:00 p.m. with all members present save and except Councillor Prinzen. Council Motion 2026-322 was a motion directing legal counsel, and Motion 2026-323 pertained to the civic awards. Announcements 7.1 Councillor Roberts announced National Drowning Prevention Week taking place from July 19 - 25, 2026. 7.2 Councillor Nieman announced a notice of motion to have a meeting with all stakeholders on the pickleball at Delhi Park pickleball matter for the August 25, 2026 Council meeting. 7.3 Councillor Pennell noted he will be bringing a matter forward at the next feasible meeting. 7.4 Mayor Ferguson announced The Friends for Life Bike Rally, which is one of Canada’s longest distance annual charity cycling events supporting individuals living with HIV/AIDS. He asked people to be patient with them on the road on Monday August 3, 2026, and that they will be at the Consecon Legion. 7.5 Mayor Ferguson announced that the Clerk's Office will be at various public events to discuss the election and talk about the importance of voting. The team will be at the Picton soccer fields, Wellington baseball diamonds and Consecon day August 8, 2026. 7.6 Mayor Ferguson and Councillor Maynard highlighted Consecon Day August 8 and asked youth to come with a helmet for the soapbox derby. 7.7 Mayor Ferguson proclaimed July 19-25th as National Drowning Prevention Week, and August 9th as National Peacekeepers' Day.
