THAT Council authorize the transfer of six parcels of surplus municipally owned environmentally protected wetland lands to the Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust as a donation, for nominal consideration of $2.00, the lands being described as follows: Roll 135091802008501, PIN 55047-0125 (LT), Off Cty. Rd. 4, Sophiasburgh Roll135091802008502, PIN 55047-0098 (LT), Off Cty. Rd. 4, Sophiasburgh Roll 135051103504601, PIN 55048-0110 (LT), Cty. Rd. 4, Hallowell Roll 135051103505200, PIN 55047-0144 (LT), Cty. Rd. 4, Hallowell Roll 135051103505500, PIN 55048-0116 (LT), Cty. Rd. 4, Hallowell Roll 135051103524400, PIN 55036-0276 (LT), Off Christian Rd., Hallowell THAT Council direct staff to retain Parcel 7 and pursue tree planting initiatives here pursuant to the County's Climate Action goals; and THAT the necessary by-laws be brought forward to Council at the July 21, 2026 meeting, for the parcels of land accepted by the Hastings Prince Edward Land Trust following the completion of its due diligence period ending July 15, 2026.
