THAT the foregoing motion be amended to add an additional clause 5 as follows: That Council direct staff to present at the 2026 budget a reserve for climate adaptation and mitigation projects and that these funds cover required contributions to participate in an FCM climate adaptation grant application for the Wellington Beach Improvement Plan and/or other climate adaptation projects. The vote was then taken on Motion CW-164-2025 as amended as follows: THAT report OPS-15-2025 regarding the Wellington Rotary Beach Improvement and Management Plan be received; THAT staff be directed to implement the Preferred Beach Improvement and Management Plan, as outlined in Attachment 1 (Section 7) to this report, where possible with current resources and to seek funding sources and grants to support implementation of unfunded aspects of the plan; THAT staff continue to retain a contractor to dredge the Wellington Channel every three years; and THAT staff continue to explore technological advancements and opportunities to purchase a dredge in the future and report back to Council with details as viable options are identified.
