THAT clause no. 4 of the recommendation be amended to read as follows: THAT the licencing fees, as set out in Attachment 3 to this report, be approved and the taxi fares, as set out in Attachment 4 to this report, as amended to ensure fares are consistent based on distances to destinations in consultation with the operators, be approved; The vote was then taken on Motion CW-178-2025 As Amended as follows: THAT supplementary report CLS-36-2025 and report CLS-13-2025 regarding the Taxi By-Law Update be received; THAT the By-Law to Regulate and Licence Vehicles for Hire and Repeal By-Law 63-2020 (the "Vehicles for Hire By-Law"), as set out in Attachment 2 to this report, be approved at the next feasible Council meeting; THAT By-Law 63-2020, being A By-Law to regulate and govern taxicab, limousine businesses and delivery businesses regularly used for hire, their owners and operators in the County of Prince Edward, be repealed in full, effective April 1, 2026; THAT the licencing fees, as set out in Attachment 3 to this report, be approved and the taxi fares, as set out in Attachment 4 to this report, as amended to ensure fares are consistent based on distances to destinations in consultation with the operators, be approved; THAT the set fine schedule, as set out in Attachment 5 to this report, be approved and staff be directed to apply to the Ontario Court of Justice for approval of set fines; THAT the implementation of Administrative Monetary Penalties, as set out in Attachment 6 to this report, be approved; THAT consequential amendments to the Fees and Charges By-Law, Administrative Penalty By-Law, and Appeals Committee By-Law required to implement the recommendations of this report be approved; THAT commencing in 2026, as part of the annual Fees and Charges By-Law update, staff be directed to review the Taxi fares with all licenced taxi operators prior to proposing any changes; and THAT staff be directed to review the Vehicles for Hire By-Law, in consultation with all
