THAT report CSP-04-2026 regarding the County Transit Strategy 2028 be received; THAT Council endorse the strategic direction and service recommendations within the County Transit Strategy 2028 (Attachment 1) and direct staff to seek external funding opportunities to facilitate implementation on a prioritized, phased timeline; THAT Council authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute an amending agreement to the service agreement with Quinte Access Transportation Company Inc., to exercise the one-year extension option, securing transit services from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027; THAT staff be directed to finalize an amendment to the Quinte Access Transportation Company Inc. agreement to formalize the terms under which the municipality flows grant funding to Quinte Transit for the purchase of transit vehicles used in the County Transit system; and, THAT a By-Law to authorize both the agreement extension and the transit funding amendment be brought forward to a meeting of Council before March 31, 2026.
