THAT Council receive report DS-17-2026 for information. 7.2 Report of the Operational Services Department dated February 26, 2026 regarding Update on Picton Marina Discussion ensued regarding: • the work done by staff to bring operation of the Picton Marina in-house; • the operating cost during the first year, and how that included repairs that would not be required in 2026; • the potential to add a food provider to the area; • how data has been compared with neighbouring municipalities; • capital improvement requests that may come during the next budget cycle; • the possibility of public-private partnerships; • the number of slips available, and the number of users that could be expected; • possible future uses at the site and the surrounding area; • the addition of a park to the site; and • maintaining goodwill with the boating community.
