THAT Council receive report RCF-02-2026; THAT Council approve the updated Ice Allocation Policy; THAT Council direct staff to return to a future meeting to update the Fees & Charges Schedule to include a last-minute ice rate. 6.2 Report of the Corporate and Legislative Services Department dated March 12, 2026 regarding 2026 Election Sign By-Law The main motion was put on the floor by Councillor Nieman and Councillor Grosso. A question and answer period ensued regarding: • confirmation signs are permitted on road allowances; • sign pollution; • ensuring an equal level playing field for candidates; • limiting the number of signs in an area; and • environmental concerns, sustainability and considering a limit on signage. Mayor Ferguson brought forward an amendment regarding timing of election signs.
