THAT report DS-32-2026 regarding Designating Barker Street for Two Way Traffic be received. 7.2 Report of the Finance & I.T Department dated May 14, 2026 regarding Council Compensation Review and Policy Update The main motion was put on the floor by Councillor Roberts and Councillor Branderhorst. A question and answer period ensued regarding: • the balanced approach to the comparators, and tourism factor; • increasing attendance participation for Councillors for conferences from 2 to 3; • the analysis and thinking for single tier Members of Council; • more of a focus on single tier council member responsibilities; • the equity of access concept; • comparing single tier municipalities; and • the level of effort required to be a member of Council. Committee recessed at 2:45 p.m. and reconvened at 2:54 p.m. with all members present, save and except Councillor Braney.
