THAT report FIN-16-2026 regarding the 2025 Annual Parkland Report be received; THAT Council direct the Treasurer to forward the statement contained in Attachment 1 to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in accordance with Section 42 of the Planning Act; and THAT Council direct staff to bring forward budget proposals, which allocate the parkland funds in proximity to the geography where they were collected, as part of the 2027 budget deliberations. 6.2 Report of the Finance & IT Department dated May 28, 2026 regarding the Annual Treasurer's Report on 2025 Development Charges The main motion was put on the floor by Councillor and Councillor A question and answer period ensued regarding: • tracking development charges and how they are spent; • how the money is collected from different areas and ensuring those areas benefit accordingly; • commending the finance team; and, • how development charges work, and how the background study and service area support allocation.
