THAT report FIN-15-2026 regarding the Annual Treasurer's Report on 2025 Development Charges be received for information. 6.3 Report of the Community Services, Programs and Initiatives Department dated May 28, 2026 regarding Youth Engagement Strategy - Project Update The main motion was put on the floor by Councillor Branderhorst and Councillor Engelsdorfer. A question and answer period ensued regarding: • the youth app data on number of users; • making the initiatives equitable and fair for youth in all parts of the County; • the classification of the youth age of 14-29; • building partnerships with County Foundation, Highland Shores Children's Aid and Ontario Provincial Police Youth Foundation; • data on leveraging social media; • standardizing the co-op placement process, and a potential social media position; • mentoring through different sports programs and leveraging adult allies in the community; and • training/encouraging Council to continue to be 'youth allies'. Councillor Maynard brought forward an amendment to add the word "implement" and "on-demand" to recommendation 3, as follows:
